LSE Press: Call for Book Proposals

LSE Press has opened a Call for Book Proposals for new open access titles to publish in 2023 and beyond.

LSE Press is LSE’s open access publisher. We publish high-quality social science research, and produce innovative, digital-first books and journals aimed at academic, student and policy-maker audiences.

We are planning a major expansion of our publishing list over the next three years.

We invite proposals across all LSE disciplines, including the social sciences, humanities, law and economics, as well as proposals that bridge disciplinary boundaries.

We believe research and teaching resources should not only be free to read but should also help to create greater equity in academic research. In line with LSE’s 2030 strategy, we are therefore particularly keen to encourage proposals that increase diversity and inclusion in academic publishing, and research that challenges systemic inequalities. We are committed to funding and publishing high-quality publications from a diverse range of authors, both established academics and Early Career Researchers.

Proposals can cover research monographs, edited collections and course textbooks. Take a look at our publishing page for more information about our process.

If you have a book proposal, at any stage of research and development, please contact the LSE Press team on LSE.Publishing@lse.ac.uk and we would be happy to discuss your idea.
